On 5 August 2017, GSIN held its first-half work review, chaired by Deputy General Manager Shen Bing. Chairman Zhang Feng, Deputy General Manager Zhang Jianshe, Chief Engineer Wang Jianhe and departmental leaders attended.
Department heads reviewed targets, responsibilities, results and problems, proposed second-half plans, answered questions and underwent assessment. Zhang recognized progress and called for independent business-division operations, separate accounting and development of versatile project-management staff.
He encouraged departments to identify benchmarks, gaps and causes; compare methods, efficiency and implementation; and reflect on motivation, responsibility, innovation and shared success.
Second-half work would protect the GSIN steel-contracting brand while building its prefabricated and modular green-building brand. Business departments and five operating units would involve the whole workforce in marketing. The annual priorities remained stronger management, transformation, better development quality and stable growth.
