GSIN's 2017 annual review meeting concludes successfully

GSIN held its 2017 annual review on 9–10 March, assessing achievements, current challenges and priorities for 2018. Chairman and General Manager Zhang Feng outlined a combined steel-structure and green-building strategy, stronger EPC capabilities and a transition to new growth drivers.

Five priorities were set: strengthen both business lines and their divisions; invest in R&D and technical innovation; pursue multi-level, multi-channel proactive marketing; improve basic management to support the divisions; and use culture, policy and mutual support to enable shared development.

The five-year strategy would close the EPC design gap and move from labour-intensive fabrication and installation towards technology-led research and management, improving development quality.

Business divisions and departments reported on their work. Participants signed business and safety responsibility agreements and exchanged experience. The meeting emphasized disciplined safety, quality, management and cost control.
