On 19 July 2019, GSIN was approved as one of Shenzhen's first prefabricated-building industrial bases, following its recognition in Guangdong's first group. This historical report describes the company as founded in April 1998, a national high-tech enterprise with Grade I steel-structure specialist contracting and Grade III general contracting qualifications.
The production base in Shenzhen International Low Carbon City, Longgang, covered approximately 30,000 m², with annual production of 32,000 tonnes as stated in this report. In early 2019, GSIN received Guangdong industrial-base recognition and Cumark Tower became a provincial demonstration project.
Developed with the China Academy of Building Research, Tsinghua University and Chongqing University, the light-panel system integrates a steel main structure, lightweight envelope and floors with standardized design, factory production, assembly and digital management. A panel led by Academician Zhou Xuhong, organized by the China Construction Metal Structure Association, appraised the system. Cumark Tower received Shenzhen housing-authority recognition as the city's first project of its kind.
The report records 22 patent applications and three provincial construction methods. Cumark Tower's distinctions included Guangdong prefabricated-building demonstration recognition, the 2017 Yuegang Award, provincial and Shenzhen safety and civilized-construction awards, Shenzhen Excellent Structural Engineering, green-building design recognition, China Construction Seventh Engineering Division's CI Gold Award, Shenzhen safety demonstration recognition, a second-prize QC award and green-construction demonstration recognition.
Visitors included housing authorities, China Construction First, Fourth and Seventh Engineering Divisions, Shenzhen University, Chongqing University, South China University of Technology and building-research and industry organizations. Applications included Cumark Tower, Nanyun Jiayuan and the Longgang hospital project.
