To strengthen local prefabrication skills, Shenzhen's Housing and Construction Bureau and building-industrialization association organized the 2019 Whole-Process Prefabricated Building Technology and Case Training series.
On the afternoon of 14 November, more than 80 participants visited GSIN, a Guangdong Prefabricated Building Industrial Base. Company leaders introduced the business and its achievements and guided visitors through the fabrication workshop and steel-building technology exhibition hall.
Participants represented authorities, developers, contractors, designers, component manufacturers, supervisors and consultants. They exchanged experience and showed strong interest in prefabricated steel buildings.
Building on fabrication and erection expertise, GSIN will continue developing steel housing and its light-panel system. By the first half of the year, Shenzhen's prefabricated building area had exceeded 17 million m² across residential and public buildings, making quality, efficiency and technical capability important priorities.
