At the 21st China Hi-Tech Fair, Shenzhen's Housing and Construction Bureau released the city's key 13th Five-Year construction science and technology programme. Cumark Tower, built with GSIN's prefabricated steel-structure light-panel system, was selected.
The programme comprises 144 projects: four soft-science projects, 68 R&D projects, 37 technology-application projects, 33 construction standards and two international or cross-border cooperation projects. It covers survey, design, construction, new technology, green building, industrialization and intelligent construction.
Cumark Tower combines a steel main structure, steel-bar truss floor decking and ALC walls, using standardized design, factory fabrication, assembly and digital management. The source describes it as South China's first prefabricated high-rise steel building; in 2019 it joined Guangdong's first demonstration projects. Its prefabrication design assessment scored 90 points, and a national panel led by Academician Zhou Xuhong appraised the technology.
GSIN will use Greater Bay Area and demonstration-zone opportunities to advance its Green Building and Steel Fabrication strategy, integrating R&D, design, construction and operations, improving its system and strengthening its brand.
