GSIN holds its 2019 annual review: Reaching higher and making further breakthroughs

GSIN held its 2019 annual review and 2020 planning meeting on 5 March 2020, combining an on-site venue with online broadcasting because of the epidemic. Departments reported their work and Chairman Zhang Feng delivered New Starting Point, New Track, New Requirements and New Breakthroughs: Improving Competitiveness from the Supply Side.

Despite economic pressure and stricter safety and environmental requirements, departments expanded markets, supported key projects, managed risks and improved lean management and innovation. Contract value reached a new level of RMB 500 million.

For 2020, the final year of the 13th Five-Year Plan and a key year in GSIN's fifth five-year plan, the company would retain the Steel Fabrication and Green Building strategy while increasing green-building activity. More research and staffing would refine a reliable, functional, reasonably priced, healthy light-panel steel-building system.

To develop the Greater Bay Area market, Guangzhou and Shenzhen divisions were combined into a South China division focused on the Pearl River Delta. Xiamen became an East China division focused on the Yangtze River Delta. The Green Building division would transition towards general contracting. Two wholly owned subsidiaries, GSIN Steel Fabrication and GSIN General Contracting, would support a platform-based group.

The new prefabricated-building track would demand stronger capabilities and further growth from the RMB 500 million base. GSIN would focus on high-quality, cost-effective products and work towards becoming a national industry benchmark.
