GSIN's Research and Engineering Application of Complete Technologies for the GSIN Prefabricated Steel Structural System received first prize in the 2022 Guangdong Steel Structure Science and Technology Awards, presented by the Guangdong Steel Structure Association.
GSIN led the work with Tsinghua University, the Shenzhen branch of China Academy of Building Research, China Wuzhou Engineering Group, Shenzhen General Institute of Architectural Design and Research, Hunan University of Science and Technology, Chongqing University and Shenzhen Youshe Housing Technology.
On 15 December 2021, a panel organized by the China Steel Construction Society and chaired by Academician Yue Qingrui evaluated the achievement. The panel rated the overall work internationally advanced, with the through-plate beam–column connection for prefabricated steel frames and the connection between new prefabricated reinforced-concrete floor slabs and steel beams reaching an internationally leading level.
