GSIN's Low-Carbon Intelligent Prefabricated Bus Stop Design won first prize in the 2024 Longgang Trade Union Cup employee innovation competition in Pingdi. Organized by the Longgang Federation of Trade Unions and hosted by Pingdi's trade union, the competition received 33 entries from ten enterprises.
The competition recognized small innovations, inventions, creations, designs and suggestions in equipment, technology, processes, management and service. Entries were assessed for originality, technical solutions, economic and social benefits and on-site presentations.
GSIN's design integrates prefabricated construction, intelligent public-transport systems, photovoltaic generation and wireless charging. It connects buses, rail and shared bicycles for the last kilometre of green travel, while offering charging, vending and first-aid services.
The International Low Carbon City station project in Pingdi, formerly the Tongxing Factory bus stop, illustrates connections with Metro Line 3 and the Shenzhen–Huizhou intercity railway, upgraded public facilities and low-carbon technology displays. GSIN will continue R&D and commercialization of urban-service buildings.
